Our High Performance Computing team maintains an HPC Grid with more than 9,000 cores, 70 GPUs including 32 of Nvidia’s latest model V100, x memory, and 2.6PB storage. They help faculty use startup funds and grant monies to purchase compute equipment and then maintain it for them as part of the HPC Grid if they so wish. They also provide assistance with the use of national resources such as XSEDE and the Open Science Grid.
RESEARCH RESOURCES AVAILABLE
For more information on resources, most free of charge, available from C&IT.
C&IT provides hosting services, too. Faculty may place their rack mounted servers in the central C&IT data center free of charge. If faculty want their own server but would prefer the flexibility of the cloud, virtual machines can be setup onsite for reasonable rates. Data backup services are also available.
